Event Information

Bordeaux Vinexpo was started in 1981 by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce. The event is now the most important and well established wine festival in the world.

Bordeaux is the wine capital of the world so it’s no surprise how Vinexpo has grown. Wine has been produced in the Bordeaux area since the 8th century. The old town of Bordeaux is on the UNESCO world heritage list.

The Vinexpo Bordeaux is held every other year (years ending with an odd number) and has grown considerably during the previous events. During the first year of the event there were 524 exhibitors and 11,000 trade visitors. Now Vinexpo has over 2,400 exhibitors, almost 50,000 trade visitors and over 1,000 journalists.

If you are a wine producer then Vinexpo is ‘the’ place to showcase your produce. Visitors and buyers and traders come from all around the world.

Other things to do

You may think that Vixexpo Bordeaux is just a place for business, well think again!

There is also live music, wine tasting (of course), entertainment for children, amazing local and international cuisine, fantastic nightlife and a great atmosphere.
