San Sebastian is a surf town; the place to surf is Playa de La Zurriola, predominantly a left hand beach break which can produce a solid right from the eastern wall during bigger swells. It’s a busy place to surf with fierce local competition.
The region is home to Pukas surfboards and if you are after a new board then you can buy these boards slightly cheaper in San Sebastian.
During the summer the waves tend to be small and clean and during the winter the swells get BIG, but the clean days are fewer.
