Dive Sites near Dahab
The Bells to Blue Hole
The Bells is one of the top dive sites in the whole of the Red Sea, so we would seriously recommend diving here if you’re in Dahab! This spectacular dive delivers a large vein of rock which has been left with a deep crevice due to erosion. The gash in the reef drops to a total of 45m. The water here is some of the clearest you will encounter, as well as some of the deepest blue the further you dive. The Bells end when you enter the Blue Hole.
Coral Gardens
To enter Coral Gardens you must take the same entry and the nearby dive site the Canyon, however, rather than heading north you should go south, directly towards the magnificent rounded wall. While you’re swimming along the wall you may well get the chance to spot some large Napoleonfish. This dive site is perfect for some underwater photography.
The Caves
The caves probably aren’t the best name for this dive site, as they could probably be more accurately described as caverns. Once again, this site is perfect if you’ve got an underwater camera. This is the perfect opportunity to go caving underwater without any huge risks involved. Look out for the striking red anemone on the south side of the reef.
Rick’s Reef
A somewhat underrated dive site which is accessible from Dahab. Although Rick’s Reef is often overlooked, we would recommend it as one of the top sites in the area. The site makes a brilliant entry point for a slow drift towards the Canyon, which is just a short distance away. We would recommend diving slowly and observing the marine life all around you.
